Hello Nick, since you asked for advice, I hope this is helpful. These points are in no order, but, first work out your engineering. Decide if you want to cast your figures,and if so do the breakdowns at the armature stage. even if you dont want to replicate your work ,it,s still not a bad idea to learn the basics of casting so you can do the simple pieces i.e. blankheads,hands,weapons. Moulds can be used to press putty into to give you a good start
Regarding your problems with super sculpy, try mixing it with super sculpy firm, you,ll see it better. Regarding the cracking,that,s due to expansion of the armature as it heats up,so theres no point in trying to filler it untill all the baking is done.
