Yea I see the way he progresses thru a fig only priming small parts at a time , but it seems to work for him , may give it a try .
Busts only these days Brian , you getting lazy :D
 
Ron as far as priming goes I still hand paint two thin coats of matt enamel on all figures up to 75 mm but first I put a small dab of Humbrol Maskell on the points where two pieces have to be glued later as I find glues don't like painted surfaces . And if there is a bit of metal showing after wards this is easily touched in with a bit of shadow colour also I prime the top half first so I can grip the legs as I work my way down (just can't get on with any of the figure clamps ) . . One of the best bits of equipment I bought for fixing small pieces was a pair of reverse tweezers , basically you squeeze them to release rather than squeeze to hold , it stops the shakes as you get closer to the point of release .
