I am always looking for new ground work supplies whether outside in the yard or on web-sites. Reality In Scale recently released several "Forest In A Pot groundwork products in 40ml sized containers with screw on lids. This review is about their product, "Forest-In-A-Pot, Dark Forest".

Once taking off the screw on lid you will see a set of different sized resin mushrooms attached to the casting block. Underneath you have 27 different ingredients comprising this groundwork product.

Above in the top photograph you see the mushrooms removed and some of the product spread out on a piece of paper. The bottom photograph shows a close-up of the product that has been poured out.

Above are two photographs from Reality In Scale's web-site showing the use of the Dark Forest with a miniature scene.

Conclusion:
An excellent productfor use in all scales.I find the various ingredients realistic for use in scenes from 54mm to 120mm. Highly recommended.

Apart from being awesome, it also kinda looks like something to cook with... I guess I am just a little hungry right now...

Mine just arived today, and it looks like it will be a very usefull addition to my groundwork materials and time saving for future projects. Highly recommended. On another note, PF members should check out the new Premium grass mats in the model scene section on Reality in Scale web site. Now they will come in handy as you can cut them to any size/shape you want and are in different seasons.

How would you attach this groundcover to a base? I understand one would sprinkle it onto wet plaster; however, wouldn't spraying diluted white glue over it change the color and look of the materials?

I sprayed diluted white glue mixture over paper leaves and the result was that the groundcover and leaves looked like they were rained on...bright orange leaves turned soppy brown and curled.
