WIP Freikorps von Schony

I've just made a start on a 54mm flat from Fredericus Rex depicting a Grenadier of Freikorps von Shony.
This was unit was part of the Prussian army of Frederick the Great and was raised in Breslau in 1761 from Hungarian prisoners of war.

Ulrich, the best references I have on the Prussian army of the period are the Hans Bleckwenn books Die FriderizianischenUniformen so I will go along with that. It shows quite a dark blue like in the Osprey plate.

I was waiting for that, there's a total of ten blue uniformed figs on my bench at the moment, looks like the French dragoon will be red or green otherwise I'll get a reputation.

Most of the figure has now been blocked in with acrylics prior to setting to with the oils.
