1/10 French Carabinier at the battle of Borodino with captured Russian colours.
Sculpt by Carl Reid, and as always perfectly produced by CGS
Painted with W&N Alkyd griffin oils and Vallejo acrylics

Great paintwork, especially on the flag. The results of the battle were not as conclusive as the bust suggests.

Thank you Sergei.......if so or not..... It's a great piece to paint whatever happened. If it's not correct, then so be it, i'm no historian, i just like to spend some free time on painting busts which i like.

Not wanting to start a debate..... I am exactly the same.

NO historian just someone who enjoys painting military figurines.

And it was time well spent! I can easily imagine that a flag or two were captured during the battle, so as far as I can say nothing improbable in the bust. Perhaps, specialist in Nalopeon's war can say more about the course of that bloody battle, which ended with no obvious winner.
