Evening all!
Thought I'd do something a bit different for my next WIP. I've started a 28mm 3x mounted figure vignette using the command sprue from the excellent Guard Chasseurs plastic set by Victrix. I picked the sprue up off ebay for £8. They are wargaming figures but the sculpts are really excellent and should come up well with some display figure painting. The three are an officer, trumpeter and trooper so should be a very colourful group when completed. As they are in full dress, they will be at the charge during a review or similar. Very early days, but have now got the officer's horse under primer ready for painting. Should be fun!

Regards Pete

Hi Pete

Talk about a change of scale from your last ! .....28mm .......some great figures that are used in war gaming and these certainly are that

Will you replace the reins ?

Following with much interest

Have fun @ the bench

Nap
Thanks for looking in Nap. I did consider replacing the reins but it would require far too much surgery. They don't look too bad tbh- they don't have massive webs of plastic or anything like that and are actually carefully positioned for the rider's hands. Regards Pete

Morning all. Made some progress in the officer's charger- done all the horseflesh apart from the head and neck. I've also started the groundwork as all the figures have bases. Although I've cut them down, it will be awkward to do all the groundwork whilst navigating around 12 horse legs, so this seemed a prudent way to do it.
All done in acrylics so far. I'm thinking of trying to paint the pantherskin saddle cloth next which will be a challenge in this scale! As usual, all feedback welcome. Regards Pete
