Progress update: I've made a start on the white tunic (I couldn't put it off any longer), I decided to use warmer brownish shadows for this to contrast with the cool blue-grey shadows on his neckerchief and I'm quite happy with how its progressing. I also topped out the highlights on his waistcoat so, apart from the buttons, I think thats about done now. I wasn't too chuffed with the black on the tricorn so I've redone the base coat on that and its now awaiting some attention (I also got rid of that mould line, did you spot it?)

Anyhoo, some pics - I decided to stay away from the scary suicide-zoom shots this time to give a better idea how it looks when you're not wearing an optivisor ;):

Thanks for tuning in, comments and critique are always welcomed (y)

A bit more progress, some more work to do on the buttons and the gold edging on his bunnet. I think I also need to do a bit more work on the black bits of the tricorn, the lights and shading are there but are perhaps a little too subtle.

Apologies for the poor quality pics, it was a bit dark when I took them and had to use my desk lamps for lighting (with my patented shower cap diffusers ;))

Thanks again for tuning in and please feel free to critique (y)

You're right, it is literally shower caps over my lamps. White semi-opaque ones obviously, clear ones would just be daft ;)

That's coming along very nicely.
I have one very minor comment.
The shading around the top and bottom buttons looks a trifle heavy.

Cheers,
Andrew
