Hi Guys ,

Having a bit of a breather from packing to move (paints still out!!!!) so I thought I would post my latest piece .

Its from a french company called DES , quite an old piece and a classic style bust , simple yet effective .

Scale is about 1/2th

Painted using Acrylics including Jo Sonja , using only 3 colours for the lacework painting using the NMM method (Snakebite Leather/Chaos Black/White)

Really enjoyed the process ..and pleased with the end result

Another to carefully pack!!!!

Thanks for looking in

Hi Kevin
This looks nice as Father jack comments ,nice work on the lace .
They are strange busts from this company ,faces rather thin but I think they capture the period .
I have only painted one these an Empress Dragoon but the detail is superb. not sure what scale they are meant to be .

Wish they would go hole hog into the bust market and plump them up a bit .

Hi Guys ,

Thanks for looking in and the comments

Del,

Pleased you think the NMM has worked , I think it looks better in the flesh!!!!

Ron,

Thanks for the comments , I agree about the range from DES , very thin, face in particular but it works on these , as for the scale I think its about 1/12th or 150mm .
Have'nt seen the Empress Dragoon but would certaily paint that as well

Steve ,
Thanks also , if you get to FW (20th July) it will be there to have a laugh at !!!!..that reminds me ...nameplate needed !!!

Thanks for looking in
