Beautiful, Jason. Can't imagine how anything on that piece could have been done to a higher standard.
Excellent painting. The marble does look amazing but so does the rest of the figure.

Regarding the green marble, I based it with a mid-tone green, then used pieces of sponge to apply a lighter color, then a darker color, then the lighter color again. I then went in with a small brush and painted the very light veins. The black was pretty much the same approach, not so much sponging though. Finally, several layers of varnish through an airbrush.
