Guy, Kenneth,

Thanks a lot for your comment. I share with you the colors used in the leather boots:

Base: 40% Saddle brown (940) + 40%Cork Brown (843) + 20% Burnt umber (941)

Ligths:

first--> Base+Cork Brown
second--> first light+medium flesh (860)
third, fourth,...--> +medium flesh (860)...
last ligth: pure medium flesh

Shadows:

first: Base+Burnt Umber
second: first shadow + Burnt Umber
third: second shade + black

Best regards,

Rafa

Hi all,

Here there are some pics with the last status of my french officer!
As you can see I have painted the base and also some minor things in the figure (kepi, hands, sword, pistol). Today I think at least I must do two more things: use satin varnish in the boots and also getting a more dirty appearance in boots, trousers and jacket.

All your comments will be well received

Regards,

Rafa

He has turned out great Rafael!!!.......Yor dark blue looks good as does your red. Well shaded. I always leave the weathering to the last so as to use the groundwork colors into the weathering of the figures......Whats next on your bench?

Guy ,

thank your for your kind comments. My next job will be a private of second Meryland regiment of Continental Army (1777). This is based on the 70 mm Elite figure called "1st NY regiment of Continental Line, 1780". For getting the Meryland regiment I must change the colors (of course) and also I made some modifications cutting the trousers. I`ll put some pics in another post.

Regards,

Rafa
