well ur work so far is exceptional and i am pretty convinced that the whole figure will end like that . I have this one on self and looking painting like urs or Pepe's boxart, makes me wanna paint it ...and no....LOL. Congratulations

Thanks! The leather is made with a base of black, and deep orange;the highlights with more orange and a touch of gold brown. The shadows are only glossy black in controlled washes.More pics now!.Jose.

Oke Jose,

Now i gotta paint mine. I really like the figure, i beginning to learn painting, so, i gonna try to paint as close to this figure that you painted.
Is that possible???? NO WAY
This is excellent.

Excellent painting Jose, thanks for the photos (y) You've done a fabulous job on this beautiful sculpt.

The tunic colour looks a bit brown in some of the photos, I presume that's a colour cast from the lighting?

Yes,in fact the "brown"effect is owing to the lighting;the real colour is more blue-green blended to the black base. And the flesh tone is :base: brown sand with a drop of cavalry brown, highligted with sunnyskintone and white;the shadows are controlled washes of scarlet and english uniform, and a touch of violet in the darker areas, then a last light with more white or beige.Howewer, this mixture is merely a guide, the choice is yours;this is my method, perhaps not the best, but works!.Thanks you everyone again, and to Stefano and Pepe for his previous work, this figure is a tribute to their friendship. Fuerza y honor. From Spain,Jose Hernandez.

Absolute stunning figure. I too, love the leather effect you have achieved. I shall add this to my Favorites.
