Controversial! +13 Friday Song 24/02

Storms have featured in the UK news pretty much non-stop this week. With Storm Doris heading our way we were all led to believe and expect near devastation. Yes there was a fair bit of disruption across the country and very sadly a young woman lost her life but again much of what was threatened was hyped up. Now I'm all in favour of taking sensible precautions but lets be honest just how seriously can we take a storm called ....... Doris.
Four storms this year whose names dont exactly sound threatening, Angus, Barbara, Connor and Doris.
What's wrong with Storm Agressor, Storm Berserker, Storm Claymore and Storm Devastator .........these are the sort of names that'd get me into my nuclear shelter under the kitchen table.
Great song .............. difficult viewing...

I see the same trend here in Sweden, Del!

Mainstream media hypes every natural event to the size of an apocalypse.
Same thing with rivers overflowing, they take it as a proof of global warming while the reason is that people nowdays build houses close to lakes and rivers because they think its nice. In the old days they didnt do that because they knew the overflowing would come at least once in a 14 year span if not more often.
