"My name is Anthony. I've been figure painting for 40+ years...."

Some interesting answers here. For brevity, I don't really do WWII German stuff. Everything else is in play, as long as I like the figure.
For me, the point at where a stash starts getting out of control is when you develop varying interests. For example, there are only so many Victorian British Army figures out there. It is finite. If you throw in other periods it all expands exponentially...

Steve Bablefish is 100% right. If you fancy the figure then getting hold of one is better than kicking yourself afterwards.

Worse still - I bet we've all done this - is getting rid of a figure and then wishing you hadn't. I have two in mind for that!

I just purchased a huge lot of new-old-stock Historex. 160 different kits. This should last me for loooong time.

Look forward to seeing you opening the packets .......bet you've got a big spares box......or several LOL

Anthony ( BP ) is oh so true , I've got rid of a bust , untouched , ....." never going to paint that - no idea why I bought it " ......only to buy again and then paint it ! ......

"I'm Kevin and I don't like legs .... "

I try to get everything 15th Century. Such rapid advance of armour technology so you have quite a bit of variety. My first miniatures were the Perry Miniatures Agincourt set, so far still the only miniatures in the wargame scale that I like, and it's been a slippery slope from there.
