First try with acrylics (no oils this time). Base color for face and some work on eyes.

Needs more cheek definition
Jaw sides need a bit more shaping
Mustouche area needs to look a bit more ape
Eyelids need a bit of adjusting

Maybe need scar just below lower right lip side

But it is coming along great

I hate to say it but if you want to know the eyes look good but need to be fine tuned in the lines department ( colours crossing over )

LOL, I would be satified if I could sculpt something like that but this one is just for practice painting with acrylics .... and here's a next picture.

Before you move onto the uniform details, I suggest you take another look at the hair colour.
