Sadly Robert, The Fusilier ceased trading in 2017. Steve Warrilow is still around, although he mainly sculpts ceramics these days.
One of the really nice guys, with whom I had the pleasure of serving in Northern Ireland in 1981-83.
His figures still do turn up on eBay from time to time, & some of the rarer pieces fetch high prices. If you contact Oakwood Bases via this forum, he still has quite a few of Steve's later resin figures for sale.

Hi Robert

As Chris says no longer trading a real shame did done great sculpts ..the Gallipoli with a dummy target springs to mind

Oakwood are well worth contacting ( Richard Wharton ) ...details are in my look (review) at bases he produces

Steve did about four ACW pieces which were all excellent, although largely forgotten now. He made WWI his own though through a superb catalogue of figures. They were all in 70-75mm which was pretty unusual at the time.

I remember Oakwood producing figurines from Armour Models ( never eared before this in Military Modelling Sep 1997 )

After that Foxwood claimed to have bought the Oakwood moulds

I remember Steve and his excellent trade stand at many shows back in the day. I painted several of his including a very nice ACW Berdan's Sharpshooter. Glad to hear he is still sculpting, he was(is) an OK bloke

Yeah, we should clarify, there was THE Fusilier, and then there was (and still is) Fusilier Miniatures, a range of toy soldiers produced by Paul & Mark Turner in the UK, along with a couple other brands-Tommy Atkins and Hussar Miniatures, website is here: http://fusilier-miniatures.com/index.htm There are some brands of painted figures who use their castings as the basis for their sets.

Prost!

Oh yes Warrilow the guy from The Fusilier
Just see one of the picture above ...

I've just got this

Nice one Jed.

I also recall seeing Steve W and chatting to him at "The Fusilier" stand during my first few visits to Euro in the late '90s / early '00s. His range was superb back then and I too wish I'd have bought a lot more off him than I did (hindsight being a wonderful thing). They are sought-after pieces now and rightly so, as they still hold up today in terms of quality. I wonder what happened to all the masters?

I’ve picked a few at shows and was lucky enough to buy several from him directly. I do also wonder what happened to the masters as they were excellent figures.

And...

If ANYONE has his Berdan’s Sharpshooters and wants to part with it please let me know!
