Fantastic! (y) The sole remark I have is that he seems too tall, and the real character was indeed too small. But photographs can always mislead.

That apart the miniature is fantastic!!! Super work!

Most of paintings of young Napoleon show him thin and tallish , I think alot of heroic flattery was employed. To me this mini is a 3d rendering of a painting ( which has been superbly done) - I am willing to forgive flattery :)

The picture used seems to be Revolt in Pavia, hat is slightly taller, I think it adds some length to figure

Really lovely
Well done indeed

LMAO!
I was referring to the apparent tallness exhibited in photographs of the miniature. Not to "photos" of the man himself :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Even, without looking at paintings, Napoleon height is the subject of debate till present time. The British quoted the man as being around 1,55m tall!!! The French were more generous and gave him about 1.72m. The truth must be somewhere in the middle. :)

A contemporary French politician, Nicolas Sarkozy, who is notoriously short, uses heels inside his boots, since his wife is quite taller. Who knows the Emperateur also used this practice - and many indeed claim that he used. Even today, many cavalry boots have heels hidden inside. Some guys handle so bad their complexes :hilarious:

The debate is gonna always be bewteen FRinches and IMP inches.
I will suggest at a post mortem measured length ! of 1m68 he's over average length.
As long as he appears shorter than a guardsman/chasseur a pied en bonnet a poil it's gonna look right.
Academics, please stop arguing.
As long as he looks Thin in the revolution,
majestic and imperial as consul,
and looking a bit middle- aged in his middle age,
it doesn't matter.
1m 86 is 5'7" so that's it
My dad used to say if you wanna get ahead get a bigger hat !
