This nice figure have been sculpted by my friend Greg Girault

I painted it with oil.

I tried to paint it sober. And that was the first time I tried to do a mud.
I did it with white wood glue added to oil paint and liquin.

Critics and comments welcomes !!! ;)

JP

Ps : thx to my friend Luca Piergentili for the nice backgrounds in the two pics.

That's an excellent sculpted indeed and your painting Jean Paul really impressed me. Lovely reds, blues and mud effect.

Jp,

Yes, it is a sling when Roger means the brand where his left arm is resting in.
That what you ment is a canteen./

This is a super nice painted and sculpted figure . Jean Paul i like a lot your style of paiinting , and the amount of contrast you carry in it . Just nice work my friend !!!!

Thx :)

Costas : thx, I realise that I start to find my own style. It took me some figure before finding a style. I go ahead with that manner to paint. I like it, and it seems that other like it too.

That is our first team Girault and me. We have a good figure feeling both. We planned to do lots of other team work.

Jay : Thx, I did not know the mud final result until I've finished it ;) . It was my first try. Next time, I'll add wheel lines, horses foot prints and more ;)

JP

Very well done. I think it was a good idea to give him that "battle worn" look, as many of the figures of the Franco-Prussian war out there have that Parade Ground look to them. Yours is very original and beautifully painted.

merci JP d'avoir fait ce topic.... ;)

thx all guys for the compliment for our first "work"...

If this figure interests you, it's commercailized by DES Kit (french mark)

OOH DES Kit is one of my fav manufacturers. I could have fun with this kit. Jean Paul you have done a great paint job. As other have commented, the mud makes a big difference in the appearance.
