I primed mine today Robert, the casting is flawless, and the sculpts not too bad either.

I'm looking forward to seeing your interpretation of the bust.

Gary, The rope was under-coated in GW bleached bone, then painted in a mix of burnt umber and raw sienna oil paint, which was almost totally removed with a chisel ended brush and shaded with black/burnt umber and highlighted by adding white.
