Bought this at Scale Scotland the other week .
Beautiful casting but it looks a nightmare to put together especially the harness arrangement as there are no instructions .
Now I am totally familiar with the French napoleonic reins halter etc but this one has got me bemused especially the halter .
Has anyone actually put this figure together and painted it as it looks a real challenge and will need to be part build and paint .

Regard Ron T

Hi Ron

Can’t comment the build , I presume it’s this from CGS

Might I suggest you contact the manufacturer as well

The references here might help as well https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/cgs-75mm-gendarme-lancer-1811.679934/

Hope we see the build on PF

Have fun @ the bench

Hi Ron,
I hope you are well, I emailed you a reply the same day, please see screenshot, I am sorry you do not seem to have received, maybe it went to your junk folder.
As mentioned I am assembling one for Steve Kirtley at shows and will send instructions. It is straight forward and a few have assembled it so far with no instructions.
I am always here, please check your emails as I will be emailing the instructions

Good morning,
I am currently working on mine.
I don’t have a step by step photo, but I have one of where I’m upto. The easiest way is to lay it out on the bench in front. It takes some working out but it is done easily once you ‘suss it’.
I started with the parts under the neck, half moon etc. if you look closely, some of the parts have tiny slots to fit
To another.
It makes it hard because the horse is bent over.

Here is a photo of my WIP

Hope it helps

Any chance of posting the photos of each step on the forum Graham? It would be a great help to others who are not familiar with Napoleonic reins.
Regards
Chris
Of course Chris, yes I will post here and email.
Mum been here for weekend so will send tonight.
Best wishes
