I finished General Bonaparte, a beautiful 75 mm from Alexandros Miniatures. Very well sculpted, engineered and casted. It was a pleasure to paint this piece.
Hope you'll like what you see and your feedback will very much appreciated, as usually.
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Very nice job Zeno. Just received their latest 75mm Lausanne Hussar and can only agree about the quality of detail and fit of pieces.

Hi Zeno

Very nicely done like the flesh tones and the gold work

The blue looks almost black perhaps a touch of highs ?

Lovely basework adding to the figure

A lovely piece of artwork, Zeno. I especially like the way you've finished his coat & breeches (braiding on the rear of the coat is superb!) & groundwork finishes it off beautifully. Thanks for sharing it here.

Thanks Nap! Very much appreciated!
Yes the color is black blue. If you look to museum artifacts this colour is different from the Napoleonic blue of other uniforms. This black blue is very difficult to control. It absorbs almost all the light and when reflects a little has a dark bluish tint. The big challenge is when you highlight this colour. It shifts so easy from this black blue original appearance. Not the embroidery was the biggest challenge. To control this black blue was the one. Very difficult color. In the pictures you'll see the difference between the black blue and Napoleonic blue.
