WIP Critique General Maximus, Young Miniatures bust 1/10th scale

Ron the pelt was base coated in Nimbus Grey mixed with Flesh tone and shadowed in Burnt Umber down the centre of the back. On the sides of the ridge that runs down the centre of the back the fur lightens up to a Raw Sienna colour and then at the very edges it is a light grey colour.

I ran several washes of Van Dyke Brown oil mixed with White Spirits over the entire pelt to ensure the shadows were deep enough and then I very lightly dry brushed the upper highlights with Titanium White mixed with a very small amount of Burnt umber to create a slightly Off White.

I've almost finished now. Just the sword hilt to add and a few final touches. Waiting for a bust plinth to arrive from an old mate;)

Thanx for the colour mix Tony " works really" great addition of the raw sienna to get that yellowish brown shade to the fur (y)

Very nice work. I am almost ready to start mine and am looking so forward to do so..........
