Hi

I am just starting the Coree German 200mm 1944 figure. As I have two I wanted to give one of them a new head. I have primed the body but am just finishing off his head.

I still need to do his eyes (as I have just put white and black but will changed and add more colours), hair and helmet strap

This is a beautiful head, Paul!

Apparently Coree is no more? Where can I buy Coree kits? People do make posts with Coree kits from time to time so somewhere, someone has got to be selling them?

Thanks!

Starting on body

Just starting on the body, I will do the base colours first before I add his arms and head.
The parts on this figure kit go together really well.

Update #4

Hi All

Just starting to play around with colours for the camo and test fitting a helmet from a different kit. Oh trying the head on the body too :)

Updated

Hi

Just about half way through this figure now but still playing with camo and other small parts. Not sure which helmet I will use yet. Think I am happy with the face now and will do all straps when all parts are added.

Thanks for the comment Rob

update#6

Hi

About 3/4 the way through now, just put the left arm on and will start doing the camo on it and clean it up a little.

One question, does the magazine pouch he is wearing in real life is stiff at the back or do they bend?
Pics of the real thing on a Greman would be great if anyone has them.

Thankyou

Hi Paul,

Nice figure you've got there. I think the helmet looks good like this. At first I thought the face was a bit lacking in contrast, but this is a big scale figure and mounted on the body in your last pictures it looks very good!

I look forward to your 'little' scene (must be big for sure).

Cheers,
Adrian

hello
yes only an small aspect, but the new head makes an different figure.i would go with the helmet without cover.
looks fine
as i say big is beautyfull(y)
cheers

Hi Paul
Don't know whether you have sorted the pouch issue, but I have found some photo's for you that I have, this may shed some light on your question. The Africa Korps picture I took in the D.L.I. museum last month, the others certainly show a degree of movement. I believe these are just a stiff canvas so would bend when empty to some degree. I'm no expert though.
cheers
Richie

Thanks for the comments about my work. I too have this model and the new head you have used to the original is far superior.

If you want it to represent the real person that its based on, he was wearing a helmet with no cover. I think the helmet should be a bit darker, though. But, he was also carrying an STG-44 (MP-44) and its mag pouches, not an MP-40, so I think you could do it any way you want at this point. Believe it or not, this guy is the same guy represented by the just released Alpine Miniatures 1/16 figure. And this guy as well
