Hi all,

i generally use tamiya paints and i was wondering what would be the best colour or mix of colours to recreate the German army uniform of World War 1?

Use Field Grey, then add some green or grey to adjust the tone. Lighten with flesh and darken with a bit of black and brown.

Also depends on time frame. Early war uniforms could be very different from later years, when supply issues caused the use of different materials and dyes. By the end, they were little more than baggy sacks with sleeves and a collar, made out of poorer material which faded more quickly.
Early war, generally more blue grey
Later war, generally more field grey
