Completed German Gothic Knight (1480) - 90 mm

Hello everyone!
This is my completed Gothic Knight (90 mm) from Andrea,which I have been working on for a month long.It was painted with acrylic,enamel and oil.

At first I covered the details with metal enamel (at the same time it plays a role of a base),then I covered deepenings with black oil and shaded it with a dry brush,and the last stage - highlighting and super-highlighting with metal acrylics.Also,another important thing while painting different kind of materials - is watching photos.In this case,for,example,I used these and several others:

May I ask just a few questions? I hope you don't mind as I am VERY interested in obtaining results similiar to your's.

1- What brand and color of paints do you use in each of your steps?

2- When you are applying your highlighting and super highlighting with acrylics, how are you applying the paint? Is it in a normal method with the paint diluted with water? Or is it more of a dry brush method?

sure - It's ok.

1- What brand and color of paints do you use in each of your steps?

Oh,I am afraid that you don't have exectly this marks in USA (you have only to order through internet) - it's our ukrainian and russian paints.But don't mind about it - you can use some similar examples from Humbrol (metal enamel),Vallejo (acrylic metals) etc.
The enamel I used calls "Silver" (this one: http://www.zvezda.org.ru/kraska-super/KPC06/ - but I think Humbrol is better) - It's a light metal color,something similar to aluminium.Then I covered this paint with black oil - I think any kind of black oil pain can be used up to your chose.Then acrylics- it's were: № 91 and № 92 http://www.hobby.dn.ua/index.php?cPath=190_218&osCsid=tpaue8ps3ejgm5ada3a0gn21s2
called "Steel" (metal colour of middle darkness) and "Polished metal" (very light - like aluminium)

I used both methods: for big areas - blendings of Steel + Polished metal + little bit black acrylic,for top of details - Steel + Polished metal (blendings),and for very tops - only Polished metal (blendings and dry brush a little)
