Hello

Here's my latest figure, it's 1/16 scale resin by Life Miniatures. It was a lot of fun to paint up and I'm reasonably pleased with the result.

Cheers all

Wonderful paint job, like the fact that not every piece of equipment is weathered and worn to the same degree as would be the case in reality and the weathering is brilliant.

Cheers Simon

Thanks everyone!

Thank you, at first I chipped up the binoculars too but it looked too "uniform" so I toned it down. After revising the pictures I also toned down the left side of the canteen ever so slightly and fixed some other minor mistakes like the wood of the grip not going far enough.

Fantastic! I love the way you've handled the creases on the clothing and the overall paint job and weathering is superb.

This gets better, the longer I look at it. So well painted.
Thanks Pew, this was one of those lucky projects where everything more or less turns out as planned and your paints and brushes don't fight you every step of the way, also while searching the forum I found some very informative posts by the resident Wehrmacht/WSS experts (namely Martin and Adrian) on how to best represent this subject. While weathering I also experienced one of those "happy accidents" - those little scratches on his trousers weren't by design but I wanted to wipe away pigment powder, not realising that my brush was damp, and the dampness apparently created them. I'll have to to some further testing on a spare figure to see if I can replicate it.

Anyway, I'm currently tackling the Pegaso Black Prince for which you gave me horse pinning advice a few months back, it's gonna look so cool when it's all painted up!

Thanks Nigel!

It's always great when a project comes together just how you envisaged it at the start. I really like that Black Prince kit. I wish I had one! The only thing I'd say about it, is to consider doing it in bite-size chunks. I say that in order to prevent you getting bored with it, as it is quite a repetitive one. I'm doing the Crecy Models 54mm one at the moment, I've done the rider and will focus on the horse in the New Year. Good luck!
