Excellent work Adrian, top notch!
I wouldn't worry about the skintones either.. depending how long the guy's been out. On many winter photos the dirt and fatigue looks like kind of a tan, in action blush would be normal too, I think, not to mention the possible darker skin shades. This is not to argue, but I think the pale skin in winter conditions is not the only way.

Looking forward to see more!
Kind regards
Denes

Thanks Denes!

Although I am happy with how the face turned out, and I am certainly not going to change it at this stage on this figure, I do want to try a different mix on another figure sometime. Just out of curiosity. To see if it works.
By the way, the scarf suggests the guy is cold, but maybe he overestimated the cold, overdressed and is now actually steaming hot...! With germans just around the corner there is no time to change... Aaah, imagination...

Cheers,
Adrian

Quick update. Close to the finish line now.... :)
Will post final pics in new thread when I'm finally done (few weeks?)

Cheers,
Adrian

PS: the bent barrel is caused by camera distortion; just noticed it!

Great looking figure Adrian. The face and the helmet is real stand out work (y)
Looking forward to the end result and seeing how you base it up.
Cheers
Derek

Lovely finish to the jacket, nice and smooth with the blending,I also like the face which is also very well painted, great job Adrian :)

Just got caught up on viewing your thread. That's some damn fine work Ferris! I especially like the attention to detail on the trousers and steelpot. The soiling, scuff marks, and general wear and tear really set it all off. Excellent (y)!!

Joe

Hi Adrian,

I have this figure in my GA and will be watching your thread carefully for tips on how to paint it. You're doing a fantastic job so far. The details in the jacket are superb.

Thanks Derek! Base is finished by now: mud and snow, bit I'll show it later.

Thanks Brian, glad you like it!

Thanks Grant! Excuse me for not getting it.... I know explaining damages the joke, but I have the feeling I'm missing some fun... :-/

Nick, thanks very much for your comment!

Thanks for your nice comment Alan! (I hope I spelled that correctly?)

Joe, thanks for your noce comments. The trousers more or less painted themselves, they are very well sculpted.

Thanks Tony! It's a magnificent sculpt, but I found it deceptively complex to paint. It has a lot of detail and every figure that holds a gun with both arms represents some challenges I find. I left off and painted separately his right arm which means I have to integrate it in its painted state. Something that always makes me nervous. Attaching the gun sling also requires some careful planning ahead. If you have specific questions don't hesitate to PM me.

Thanks Ski! Yes, sir, working on the base already!

Thanks Matt, glad you like him.

Thanks Scott, thanks for leaving your nice comment.

Pedro, thanks a lot mate!

Thanks all for commenting and liking my work.

Cheers,
Adrian

Nice Adrian, I especially like the realistic finish on the helm. Yet another one for me to aspire to, the list is getting long ;)
