Hi all.

Haven't posted here in a while. Sorry about that.

I've reviewed a bust from the Jim Henson's Labyrinth & The Dark Crystal Kickstarter over on the GreyMountain Reviews blog as it should be available to buy from them at retail later in the year.

Can read the full review here which includes a 360° video too:

Here's a few pics for you too.

Broken toad castings are usually well done..in the main seems true here..but don’t quite see the superlatives- pretty ordinary fare really..

In comparison to many companies casting, and I'm talking big, world known brands, this casting and resin quality on this bust does deserve the praise given.

I could name multiple companies which are held up as being the best in the world that come in at a lower standard than this does in my honest opinion.

Sorry- I wasn’t referring to the casting- I know broken toad, use the brushes, and have all of Luke’s pieces- Massive Miniatures- which BT casts..but the subject/sculpt isn’t anything all that unusual..that was my thought..for absolute certain I can also name a bunch of high end brands that slough off terrible quality...

Hi Steve

Great to see a fun piece being reviewed , casting looks good to me ....sure there's lots of painting possibilities as well

Good to see your reviews always well done and constructive

Thanks for sharing

That's fair. Really depends what a person looks for in a sculpt. If it's historical accuracy then this will likely have no appeal. And personally, variety is a great thing. You can't please everyone and shouldn't even try.

I try to be constructive and observational as possible. Tricky though.

Thanks for the review! I backed this Kickstarter too but haven’t received my figures yet. I ordered different ones but the quality shown on this piece has me excited. I wish I could have afforded the whole line!

I picked up 3. This, Hoggle, and the Goblin. Same wishing I could've gone for more. Just had to be sensible.

As for you not getting your bits yet, I know they're working through a lot of orders but it's happening.
