Hi Guys ,

RP Models are a relatively new company but have established themselves in our world of resin with the bust releases which we have seen being reviewed here by your scribe on PF

Part of the idea is to make the releases available in other scales rather than just busts ....and this is what they have done with the Goblin bust producing in 75mm scale .

aa.jpgaaa.jpga.jpg

0a.jpg use the latest 3D technology to produce all scales , this brings out the textures no matter what size your model is ...you can see this in the bust review I did here:
http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/goblin-from-rp-models.74752/watch-confirm

Lets see what we are looking at:

Title: Goblin ( Fantasy Series)

Scale: 75mm

Reference: RPM-75-001

Material: Gray Resin

No of pieces: 7

Sculptor: 3D

Casting: YS

As with the bust release the model came in a cardboard box with the contents being inside within bubble wrap and the smaller pieces in a small plastic bag .

The box seems large for the contents but quite rightly RP are making full use of previous packing.....recycling which is so important these days.

This is the back view the front has the same image as the bust

The pieces consist of the full figure , 2 arms, the face, 2 bags and a base

Also include is a info page on goblins Goblin 004.jpg and authenticity certificate on the subject

( note that 5% of sales are going to a museum ...nice idea that and something which applies to all sales)
Prep

This was never going to be too difficult even for me !!!

Full figure...a casting plug to sand off the underside and one to carefully cut away from the inside of the hood and the cape and ears of with a very fine casting line on the clothing but a quick sanding and its gone!!
Goblin 006.jpg
Arms....tiny bit of flashing on the left arm by the parchment roll ( 2 small lugs to cut off the ends) , the right arm has a small casting remnant to sand off at the elbow and a even smaller one on the bottle base

Base.....a quick rub round the underside of the base .

Remaining......fit the face , the bags and the arms ..easy to do

Looking first at the largest piece , this is obviously the bust extended down with his clothing running all the way down to his shoes , on it we have the hood open and ready to receive the face
the difference between this is that we have the book and the test tubes pieces cast already to the figure ...less to do !!
Goblin 007.jpg

We also have the belt sitting very naturally with the end running down the clothing in the centre.....all the details are there!

We see all the textures on the piece which is quite amazing to be honest , the painter can again go to town on these , this piece is an exact 100% rendition of the bust ...but with legs !!

Around the edge hood we have the pattern with the 2 rather pointed ears peeking from each side opening of the hood.

Arms are easy to fit with the bottle being in gray and not clear resin as with the bust, the same goes for the other arm m the parchment roll again shows great details.

The Bags are again true representations of the bust items and fit into the same place , looking the part .
Goblin 021.jpg
The Face ...well its scary even in this scale , same details , teeth and all , fit into the hood is relly clean and very simple to do.
Goblin 020.jpg
The Base is a stone pathway effect with the pattern being of various sizes , this is a great little base , nice size well detailed , it could be incorporated into a bigger scene of course ...perhaps with a wall or maybe a cloisters style ...certainly the figure would look great with a moonlight effect painted ...just let you imagination go wild.

Final Thoughts

RP models have succeeded in giving the modeller what he wants.......the option of a great piece in all scales ( including 54) , the textures have been scaled down with no problems giving the same enjoyment as a bust but with legs!!!
The scale option will be available for all of RP releases so it meets the needs and wishes of the modeller , quality , and variety and most of all enjoyment .no matter what you paint.

The question is has RP achieved in 75mm? .......IMO a resounding YES:)

Let's have a some more pics thanks to Hideout...enjoy
