As much as I love PF, this place to me dont seem to be the best place to ask question when it comes to 28mm sci fi and fantasy figures(no offence), so does anyone know of any websites that they can recommend?

Need some advice on stuff as this scale is very new to me, and although its fun, I have no idea whats out there.

Cheers
Jon

I'd recommend www.coolminiornot.com (or CMON). Skip past the front page and gallery (although do come back to browse that at some point) and check out the Work in Progress section of their forum

Like PlanetFigure you'll find a mix of everything. But, while I'd say this site is maybe 80+% historical, I'd say CMON is 80+% 28mm fantasy/sci-fi figures.

Another nice site is WAMP (http://wampforum.com/). A bit smaller than CMON, it's a nice community. They also run a number of online contests so keep an eye out for those.

Thanks guys, I ain't really into 28mm either, but watched a few painting videos, looked at the bright colours and decided that could be fun.
Dont think they like me asking questions much, as I ain't a dice thrower....plus my idea of a Aliens/Space Marines/Predator mashup dont seem to go down to well.....

Thanks once again

Jon

Well, sites like Cool Mini or Wamp are much more about the painting than the playing. But if your interest is more in fantasy and sci-fi for the colors, creativity, and subject matter then you're not stuck painting 28mm figures. Andrea has a 54mm scale line of fantasy (warlord saga) and sci-fi (dark nova). The figure in my profile pic is one of their 1/35 warlord saga range. Draconia from Ares Mythologic has some nice 54mm fantasy, Nocturna models has some very cool 54mm and 70mm fantasy. Michael Kontraros just recently started to release some of his original sculpts, 54, 70, and 90mm fantasy and sci-fi figures. And there are others as well, this is just a sample of the ranges that have caught my attention.
