Paul if you have them that would be great, my mate cant ask his dad as its a suprise for his 70th birthday
Your pouches look completely different to the ones i have, i have had to make some changes to the arm as well to get it to fit properly so that the hand is on the pouch

Paul, it's all coming together pretty dang sweet like, if I may say so myself. It's an honorable task you have taken on at any rate, and going that extra mile, (kilometer), to make it accurate is impressive. I'm pretty sure the honorable Mate will be ecstatic with the results and be so proud of the memories, and that's what this project is all about. Those emotions from those days will return, they always do. Ruck On!
My Kudos to you Paul for making it right. Accuracy can be a royal pain in the hind quarter, but always worth the effort when honoring those who have served. I learned this lesson with my "Hue City" dio. The comments were worth every effort of every tedious detail I could possibly find. They were there, not us, so there you have it.

Many thanks Ski, i think after it was pointed out to me it would have bugged the crap out of me if i didnt alter it, it also shows my mind is cracking up cos i would have sworn it didnt make a difference which way round they went
So in the interest of accuracy these are the pouches now, bayonet frog added ( always wondered why it was called a frog ) and i decided to add the straps and eyes that attach it to the bum roll, just waiting for these to harden and then they will be painted
I also managed a bit more work on the arm, i gave the whole arm a wash of burnt umber to tone down the colours a bit and then re added some of the highlights and further shading

I`m getting a bit fed up of the accuracy of my sculpts being brought into question, when I originally sculpted this piece as a bust the pouches were correct and on the right side. I was in the Infantry for seven years and did two tours in Ireland. I wore 58 pattern webbing the whole time I was in so I certainly wouldn`t make such a glaring error as sculpting the pouches wrongly.
The Inerga grenade attachment pouch is on the RHS pouch and the bayonet loop on the left, your bayonet side.
what changes were made when it was turned into a 200mm full figure I can`t speak for as I didn`t do the conversion.
as for wearing the pouches on opposite sides I think this would look pretty odd and unproffessional given the angle they sit on the belt as well as the bum roll attachment loops sticking out the front. Certainly wouldn`t have happened in my battalion.

This is a Sport of "Sniffin Paint and Gluin our Fingers Together", as I often say, and everyone plays the game just a bit different, Bro. I understand your frustration, but please take no ill will intended. Some of us are anal retentive, me included, when it comes to research, right or wrong in either case. I'm sure some of the Gents may have difference of opinion. But, please understand, this is one incredible kit, and you being the author, I certainly "Salute" you for an incredible rendition. You got talent and I'd personally like to see more of what ya got, that's all I can say!

Moz im sure you do and no one was questioning our sculpting ability or if you have the correct detail, all I was pointing out is that the pouches I received didn't fit properly and looking at Petes these seem to be the wrong ones so I have had to adapt them, its been so long since i wore 58 webbing i couldnt remember how it went, it only took a matter of minutes to alter them so its no drama

Cheers Grant, i have tried to get a faded look to the cammo which seems to have come out ok
Moving on ive added the final shading and highlighting to the arm and added the gloved hand, ive also done a bit more work on the face blending the shades a bit better
The face is very 70s with the standard issue squadie tash

The TOS is so sharp, I'd have paid the tailor for it,
it's exactly like mine was.
I'm so glad you've faded the combats, most people paint
them as if they are straight from stores.
Tache is also spot on as you mention

Helm told me a while ago he had a pal in his unit with
different colour sleeves on the same jacket !
The slr in this kit's an absolute corker too so I am informed.
I hope you enjoy the rest of it now pal you're in the final stretch
