The base colour I use is a mix of Vallejo Sand brown with a touch of Vallejo Black red.

A couple of translucent coats but the first thing I do is paint the eyes, nostrils side of nostrils any dark shade areas with Vallejo black brown.

When you paint over that with the thin basecoat it lightens it a bit and those areas start to take shape.

Then I add the first highlight to the highlight areas with Vallejo beige brown with a touch of Vallejo light skin and each succesive highlight gets smaller with a greater amount of the lighter skin tone.

The shade areas I use a thin wash of vallejo flesh wash and also Panzer Aces shadows flesh in the darker areas

. Then I bring it altogether with a glaze of Vallejo beige red to blend everything in.

Thats the basics of it really.

I just keep going until Im happy with it.

Hope this helps.

Ady
