Thanks to all of you for your good wishes. I've accepted at my age I'm never going to grow up
My hubby is brilliant at fixing things, especially engines, etc but is hopeless at anything artistic like modelling, so he's amazed at people who have the patience for this hobby. I love the Roman era but this one will be a challenge for sure, so thank goodness so many of you paint them and are familiar with the history. Those shields rock!
