Could not agree with you more!!! ...spending in our hobby is money well spent.
Of course in my case I just get better and better in smuggling things into the house and avoiding direct questions from my wife. Having a "secret" credit card a/c also helps since I meddle with radio controlled airplanes which can be quite expensive to maintain (my hangar includes six different scale models and I only got into this hobby five years ago)!!!!

I support my hobby from my own paycheque, as I'm still in the workforce But I really believe people who don't have an interest in something deteriorate both mentally and physically, so it's money well spent.

A belated happy birthday Mary. I turned 58 on 5th March......you're dead right that focussing on a hobby is a major factor in keeping you mentally and physically healthy.

Sorry I'm late to the party on this one Mary. Happy Birthday. I bought a saddle for my wife's horse for her birthday. Didn't know it till we went riding one day and she told me thanks for the new saddle.
