Thanks Jazz.
Harry, no reason for the green. I'm not painting her as anyone, just didn't like the yellow on the box art. Not sure I like the green much either it could change. I'm not up to speed on my Greek Gods and Godesses so I don't know what colours go with which gods just painting what's appealing to me.

Changed my mind this afternoon and decided to go with blue so I had to start the sheer effect all over again, good practice I guess. I took photos of every step so I'll write up a quick SBS on it when I get the chance. I prefer the blue dress, I have still only done the basics. I need to do lots of blending and shading and the highlight colour is the wrong shade of blue.
Thanks for looking,
Andrew.

Andrew,

great results, even with reworks (and I feel your pain; I can do better, but I have put so much work into this...still...rework)

Blue does look better, transitions need to be a touch smoother, yes, you are heading in the right direction.

Promises to be a real stunner!

Keep up the good work!

Cheers

Thanks guys. Mark it's a great figure a lot of work on the dress, so many folds in the fabric but very enjoyable.

I worked the dress a bit more and did a bit of work on her hair. It's slow going on the dress with so many folds in the fabric but I think I'm just about there. Let me know if you see something I have overlooked.
Cheers,
Andrew.

I have to agree with the colour change, this is a nice soft blue whereas the green was a bit toooo green if you know what I mean. You have also given her skin tones under the fabric a shade of the blue as well, this has blended it all in nicely. The only thing I believe you need to do is a bit of a mid transition colour between the blue dress folds and the sheer effect touching her skin, this will soften it a bit more. Love where this is going.

Thanks Ben, Gordy and Bill. I took a few days break from this one she was starting to frustrate me. I came back to her today and tried to mend a few things with the sheer effect. They are only subtle changes but hopefully it's where it should be. The folds on the top of her legs now have more of a sheer effect and I tried to do a bit more blending where the fabric drops away from her skin. Please feel free to comment sometimes you can be looking at something for so long you miss things.
Thanks again for looking,

Andrew.

Oh WOW!!!!!!! You have nailed it. You have added the transition colour between the darkest fold colour and the flesh and it has made all the difference. Great stuff
Ben

It's a wonderful dress, Andrew.
Your try is successful for certain.
I'm looking forward to completion.(y)

Mitsutaka.:)

I really don't think you could improve that. I looks light and airy, almost floating over the figure. Very very impressive.

It's been a while since I did some work on this one. Mike (Meehan34) was kind enough to send me a link to an artist site http://www.howarddavidjohnson.com/nordicmyths.htm which had a great painting of this lady, the site was a Norse god site so she may be Norse not Greek, anyway I'll include a pic to show and here is my progress. I'm just about done a few bits and pieces to go. Excuse the photos the lighting is quite stark and causes some of the skin tone to look white. I'll take proper photos when she's done.
All comments and critique are always welcome.

Thanks for looking,
Andrew.
