Looks great Roger.
You could paint the base various reds yellows and oranges and have him walking on sunshine.

I’m even later than usual with this one but as ever a delight to the eyes. Well done Roger for this figure and for the education !
Now WW2 Greek Navy would be great too as my grandfather’s ship (HMS Hurworth) was sunk when on attachement to the Greek fleet and aiding a damaged Greek destroyer called the Arillas. Sadly he was the Chief stoker and didn’t survive.
Cheers

Thanks Huw.
That's interesting about your Grandfather's ship, I'm sorry he didn't survive. Hurworth is only about 20 miles north of here. Another Hunt Class destroyer was HMS Bedale, named from our hunt and transferred to the Polish Navy to become ORP Slazak.
Hmm, Greek Navy, that's starting to ring some bells.
Finally a chance to catch up. I've a small scale model of a Hunt Clas II destroyer which I'd like to do as HMS Hurworth. Sadly I cannot find any pictures of the port side. I would also like to to get a WW2 Chief Stoker one day and mount it with my grandfather's medals, commemoration certificate from the King (maybe) and one Chier Stoker badge which has somehow survived.
Cheers

I really like it Roger.
Nicely done,
Ken
These men fought under apalling conditions during one of the most bitterly cold seasons on the Pindos mountain range on the borders between Greece and Albania Roger.Placing him knee deep in snow wouldn't be far from the mark!
Oda.
This port side Huw?
