Yet another bust from elan13, this one is the last that Rob had so I was lucky to get one.

I painted the head first in Artist's oils for the face and acrylics for the rest.

The collar lace, grenade and chin strap still need to give the metallised look.

The body has been given a Flat Red thinned coat of paint after the creases were given a thinned crimson coat.

The rest of the uniform was given paint, straps in White Grey, epaulettes, buttons and strap plate in Gold Brown.

Some more progress today.

I used Citadel Earth wash over the Gold Brown on the neck and the body.

When dry I used the docraft Pearl Medium mixed with the Gold Brown to give the metallic look to the collar lacing, epaulettes, and belt plaque, and also neat pearl medium to highlight the collar grenade.

This will need to be highlighted later, but that is enough for today.

More done this morning, head attached to body, a few thin coats of scarlet added to the highpoints of the tunic and the pin-wash along the edges to bring out the details.

Just the backpack, etc to paint and fix, then the Sarnia bust of Bill Speakman VC should have arrived.
