Here's my latest finish work, the Stormtroopers Miniatures 1/12th scale bust of the Grenadier Guards Officer Crimea 1854.
This time I've got my oils out! Withe the exception of the metals which are done in Scale 75 acrylics he is entirely oils over Jo Sonja's.

Thanks for looking.

Alex.

Always love the look of the Guards in the Crimea...scarlet and greatcoats make me think of a transition from the old order to the new. Nice job.

Very nice. Looks like you know how to use oils! :) I like the colours and skin tones. Looks like he has been in the field a fair bit.

Your work is always a pleasure to look at Alex, and this is no exception. Lovely job, I like it a lot.

Hope you keep up on the oils Alex, there is something about them that give miniatures that little bit of extra life,
nice flesh tones no overdone shading or flesh like a burnt cushion :)(y)
