Another cracker from Grenadier, Ernest, his facial expression is wonderful.
Well done on another fine combination of sculptor and painter.

Beautiful work Ernesto,I really really like this bust and your painting is inspiring,I'm so glad you never painted it clean, the weathering is superbly done and really gives this bust something extra, the look of a soldier on campaign,I can't praise it enough,it's one of the best busts I've seen this year.

final08.jpg is like when you see a second hand barbour coat... if you know what I mean... so fcking realistic weathering!

Ernesto plz share with us the technique about weathering white colour...Is just excellent layers and filters?:angelic:

Question on the jacket/Coat. What brand of type of garment is the Grenadier Officer wearing? Is it military issue or something from home. Barbour Coat? My knowledge of Crimean War
equipage is small, but I love the coat, detail on the sleeves, and the ties across the chest. Curious as to what it represents. I too like the color and the weathering on it as well. Excellent work!

I saw a guards officer today, wearing a more modern type jacket, very similar to this one I know guards wore a very different tunic for different occasions. Could be military.
