Hi.

Seeing that trying to keep the GMR review links grouped together in one thread didn't really work I thought I'd go back to the more usual approach.

This Monday's review is a re-release of an old figure from Elite Miniatures sculpted by Raul Latorre in 54mm. Now under Elite Classics from FeR Miniatures and now in resin.

Thanks Steve! Actually I thought it was bigger than that.. this way the box art from banshee looks even more spectacular!

Cheers. Does make many other 54mm figures look big. Though I find Latorre sculpted more in 50mm and 70mm but with excellent detail and anatomy when doing traditional sculpting.

I picked it up at Euro when it came out. It's a superb figure. A beautifully posed piece that really works despite the fact that thr left leg scales about 4 to 6 inches longer than the right (try the pose and you'll see). This is no criticism just acknowledging the skill of the sculptor to use artistic licence to create a mini masterpiece.
As 54's go nowadays it's small but beautifully formed, a challenge and a pleasure to paint.

Can't argue with that assessment.

He was miles ahead of most small scale sculptors back then. This was no mistake but a clear understanding of how the viewer interprets what is seen....... great review on your site by the way (y)
Derek

Many thanks.
