Very nice all round painting with attention to detail. Is the dragon painted on a relief or free hand

Thanks for the kind words Tommi - much appreciated. The dragon was half and half - the outline of the dragon was embossed, but all the internal detail, especially the head, face and legs was free handed.

Thanks so much Anastasiya... this is by far my favorite model of Guan Yu available (it's also one of my all time favorites), and I don't understand why he's not more popular! I also have Zhang Fei, and plan on painting him sometime in the near future.

Thanks Gaz - I love this period too! You may like this other Chinese general I did (exactly a year ago) he's a 54mm from Pegaso. (One of the most detailed 54mm models I've come across.)
