Piccy update on Gny

Couldn’t resist not painting the ribbons ...uniform and hat main colour finished , just going to paint the underside of the peak ( a non reflective green ) .....then back to the other Marine to complete once that’s done it will be back to this one

Excellent work so far Nap. Love the flesh colours. Nice natural array going on.

Busts always look so odd to me with the eyes not painted. The possessed dead look. But then when you paint them in, boom, it comes to life.
In the past I've been ike "Nope , I can't. I need to stop and get these eyes in before I go further. You freaky looking f-_-er! "

Thanks for comment , flesh is just a base of Vallejo Brown Sand atm , agree ref the unpainted eyes , scary or what ....painting these right now ! ....very small are to work in though !

Have a bust on the bench now I'd say there is plenty of room for eyes even if he was asleep, try 1/35th if you want tight spaces to work in! Seriously though this is a great looking bust in a particularly nice uniform that might just tempt me to paint an American subject, though with legs and all the other bits generally attached to a person.

This is a cracking piece Kev, did it come with the cap in place? If so then yes theeyes will be difficult to paint, but you're up to the challenge.
