Gus McCrae, Texas Ranger, Lonesome Dove.

Finally finished after several months away from desk following a temporary loss of modelling mojo (thank goodness it came back!).
Always been a fan of the TV series and wanted to make a figure from the show. The figure’s taken from a scene where Gus takes arrows in the leg which lead to his death.
A half figure developed from a V bust by Glory Boys/Pony Soldiers. Base from MDP and plaque from NameIt!

I really don't watch enough TV, looks great. Not sure what the original bust looks like but a V bust is rather minimal I believe so a good lot of sculpting and great painting.

For those of you who haven’t watched Lonesome Dove I can really recommend it. A realistic western with great heart and superb performances from Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall.
