Thanks, Gentlemen. Special thanks to Guy for doing my posting work as I am too inept to manage it myself. Janus, Dan Daly earned his first Medal of Honor as a Private First Class in China during the Boxer Rebellion for holding his UNIT position single handedly for hours while his commander led relief to him. His second came as an NCO in Haiti during the Banana Wars for leaving his pinned down patrol under fire to retrieve a machine gun from a creek where it had been sunk during an ambush when the mule carrying it was killed. He then employed the weapon to break the ambush. The other gong is the US Army Distinguished Service Cross recieved for his leadership and example at Belleau Wood in 1918 fighting with fourth brigade of the Second US Infantry Division.
