The figure is more or less finished. There are some mistakes here and there that I have to correct. I will make a simple base and that’s it. The pictures are very bad. I hope to make them better with the final result.

In this figure I have tested the “true metal” paints from AK for the saber sheath. The plain color is very realistic although too shiny. I have to experiment more with the weathering and shadowing. At the moment I’m not very happy with the result, with the washes it has finished very dull. For my next figure I want to test them in a larger area so that will be the litmus test.
Comments are welcome :)

Hey Fernando, i didn't watch this SbS.
Nice painting here. Not my ages of painting, but i like what i see. The trousers are very very good. Big contrast without steps, a perfect position of light and shadow planes, and a beatifull brown. For me the best of the figure. Yellow is a hard colour, is well worked, but i think you can give it a little more of contrast, for a similar treatment of the light as on trousers. Is the only thing i think you can improve here, because the rest is over this yellow. What did you use for the flowers? Very realistic

Thank you guys!

Hi M.E.! I agree with you. I also think that the contrast is a little bit unbalanced. I already tried to push more the lights in the jacket but still not enough, and I don't want to touch the shadows because it is very easy to ruin the work... I'm a coward, jajaja
For the flowers I used a couple of product from Mininatur that I bought in Makuart to Jorge Fano. They are cheap and very convincent.

To the purple of shadow you can add a bit of chocolate brown, but in fact, the risk must be taken at lights. I've got the Mininatur product too, but is clear that i'm not using it in the right form.

So nice to see this finished.

So nice to see the high standards and clean look maintained all the way along.

A beautiful piece I hope you are proud of it.

Paul.

Thank you Paul. I'm reasonably happy with the result, although I think there are many things that I should improve mainly in the preparation of the figure. I didn't clean perfectly all the mold lines and some of them can be seen :( I'm too impatient and I just want to start painting!!!:nailbiting:

fermatgom,

A very nice result. Where did you purchase the model from?

Tried looking for it on the El Viejo Dragon site with no luck. Not an easy site to read with dark blue writing on black., and my old eyes.

Chris
