Not really my thing (good though it is), but it made me look up the man on Wiki and came across this marvellous character shot of him in later life in full fig and bemedalled. Certainly make an interesting bust.

It’s been quite awhile since I had to memorize the order of them but I believe it to be an army distinguished service medal

Ah... Wiki's ribbons are in a different order from the photo (perhaps taken from another pic?) which makes the 2nd from bottom on the right his US Campaign Medal (3rd from bottom below):

All of the above except for the Purple Heart and Korean WSM are accounted for, so the 'Unidentified foreign decoration' remains unknown.

This site also lists his 'major awards' but casts no further light on the missing ribbon (though it does list the NIA unofficial 'Order of St Maurice', but I don't know whether there's a ribbon for it: see here).
