Good morning Sergey!

I so enjoy following your work! The eyes are excellent and the weathering gives the piece a great sense of reality!

The treatment for the steel, making it look so realistic, is the true secret of this piece though IMHO. This is how I would like the steel on my Border Reiver bust to look (or at least an approximation of that, lol). Would you mind giving us a bit of an idea of how you accomplished it?

Very nice piece!!

Thanks for the feedback friends!

Kevin. Metal - acrylic base. Then painted with oil paints - black and Mars. I worked semi-dry brush butting. To create a mottled texture and smoky.

Your wear and tear on fabrics and metals is just amazing.

Hard to picture you holding a small paint brush in those big guns of yours!:woot:

Sergey you are some talented painter. What a great job on the metal work and your weathering is absolutely spot on. Keep them coming your work is great to see.

Sergey, this is an amazing painting and I REALLY love your metal rendering.
What color do you use for acrylic base?

Great bust, having a choice of helmet is a terrific bonus and of course that's excellent painting as well, Sergey.

I like this one. The medevial Swiss are a heavily unterrepresented species and this guy can easily pass as one of "my" forefathers.

Although I'm not a bust fan I'm tempted to get this one.
