Thank you Marcel, it took a very long time to do some of the sections on this to achieve the textures and look I was after. It is reassuring to hear that folk seem to think that in the main these seem to have worked.

On to my next project which is smaller and more straight forward.

Kind regard,

Mike

Hi Mike.

Thanks a lot. I will try to get that "Winsor and Newton" and will have a try. And I will have a closer look at your thread at MedRom about your painting

Hi Ulrich,

Good luck with the texturing medium they do it in other grades as well but I haven't tried these. Trick with it is you can easily remove and redo while it is still wet. Also you can build it in layers too so don't go too heavy at the outset.

Hope that helps,

Mike

Hi Dave,

Thank you too, I do like trying to depict different textures and materials, hence one of the reasons I prefer the Ancient and Medieval eras for modelling.

Ref the Celt, yep real shame this wasn't more accessible and I feel privileged that Shane chose to provide me with an opportunity to paint it.

Take care,

Mike
