Hi guys. Recently finished painting a boxart infantryman for Medieval Forge Miniatures. Two helmets included. The format is 75 mm. Resin. Sculptor: Anton Streltsov. Enjoy watching. Figure for sale.

This could well be a wonderfully painted piece...... how can we tell ? We have here
yet another wholly inadequate series of pictures that fail to illustrate the work. Why
on earth spend hours perfecting a figure only to release it to the world in this way ?
As boxart it's hopeless. Cast your eyes around this forum and see for yourselves just
how common this issue has become. High time it changed !!!! ( OK....the rant's over)

I think we can tell it's beautifully painted Mike, but I do get what you're saying about the pitch-black backdrops. Sometimes they can work, but just as often they can suck the character and life out of a piece. It just seems to be the fashion at the moment and I think it's just a case of more and more guys going along with the trend regardless of whether it works or not with a particular piece. I'm sure it will pass in time though, when the "Next Big Thing" comes along. That's usually what happens.
