Great scene and excellent paint job, Felipe!(y)
I like that the wreck piece shows all those interior details at the back side. Makes the vignette interesting all araound.
Cheers

Felipe I think you did an exceptional job on this piece (y)!

You do mention however that the kit has issues, can you be more specific? I ask because I've toyed with the idea of getting one.

Thank you for your kind words, Ulf and Joe.

Well, Joe, if you take a look at a actual picture of the Bristol Blenheim cockpit you´ll see a few incongruencies to the one depicted on the model. Nothing major for someone who´s only using the plane as a backdrop for the figure. I could have fixed all the "different" details and it would have been almost as perfect as a styrene kit.

What upseted me the most during the build up was the fitting and building of the windows armature. Also, the kit comes with a mold of the window panes, but after you finish building the armature, no window fits. I´ve used a lot of broken microscope slide glass instead of acetate on most of the windows.

It´s nothing major. I´d buy it and build it all over again, mind you. It´s just the kind of time that I don´t like to spend on a kit. The result is well worth it. But being father of two girls and having a loving wife, who supports my hobby to a certain extent along with the time I spend at work, I have really little time to sepend at the bench...

If I were you, I´d buy it. I hope it helps.

Cheers,

Felipe.

Thanks for your response Felipe. I sort of figured that the framing and plexiglass pieces would be problematic. I agree that the plane is really a backdrop, but if its not well finished it would detract from the overall display.

Again you did a fine job here and look forward to seeing your other projects (y)!

Joe
