Happy 103th birthday, Monsieur Eugène Leliepvre!!

Eugène Leliepvre, a real forerunner of this hobby, author of the wonderful uniform cards in the Historex kits, of many an Osprey MAA illustration, official painter of the French Army, just to name a few of his many works related to our hobby and military history, made 103 years old last friday 7th april.

I wonder how few people actually realize, without this guy, we might not even have this hobby, or if so, it would be much the poorer.

I am realy happy that this wonderful artist is still with us.
I had tried and failed, to find any info about his wellbeing before.
I feel a bit better about the world knowing now that this great French gentleman is still here.
